The 5 hour fashion challenge

It all began with a late night Whatsapp message “ Giiirrrrrls I have a super event tomorrow and I don't have anything to wear” …said no woman ever? ..no this was a bad CASE!

10 am the day after, 3 ladies were one their feet like a squad ready to rescue at Dubai mall with a 4th fashionista over the phone ( twitching ). I tell you there is nothing that can make a bunch of ladies wake up that early on a day off and be on time without prior planning and tons of cancellations, except shopping! 

Let me introduce the squad : The BA-ba cool lady taking Denim everywhere even to the workplace. The miss bisou bisou dress in all shapes and colors. The formal type with sequined tops who knows by heart all trends since god knows when. And last but not least the Hijabi without Iffati ( I can’t find the right word to translate but we can say Edgy Hijabi) 

The best thing about this was the “ I don’t care about the price tag !!! ”  OMG we all had a feverish attack and started going out and in of all these shops we never dreamed of checking. Frankly either there is a bunch of crap out there or I’m growing old for the supposedly new fashion. We would get all excited about an outfit until we’d find something popping at the wrong place or just some BIG lack of fabric where there is BIG need of fabric..What happened to the fashion industry can’t they put together something wearable for god’s sake! Ok ok we have also amassed some amount of fat where it's not needed. And through the years  we started looking like nothing in most of the new fashion trends. For me personally, if there is one trend I could easily relate to, it will be this new "granny chic" trend that I have put in the title pic !

5 hours later, no food in our stomachs but we couldn't care less, the head to toe outfit was put together involving some professional stitching to close the gaps !

And that’s how the whole idea led to a bunch of other hilarious WhatsApp group where we decided we would all go out of our dressing way and try new styles. We help each other remotely putting together special outfits. Maybe we will take this idea to a project one day something like “Personal styling service through Whatsup” or we will create an OOTD Instagram account with real shape ladies , stupid poses and worst cameras ever..maybe we will only get our husbands checking us up but worth a try ..NO ?
