Weekend with my cousin

Sunday working boredom, I feel like dying now! The weather is stupidly cloudy, rainy and sandy (the latter is a weather condition specific to Dubai) ..It feels like home to me… That is if they remove the sand and people still wearing the smallest square meters of fabric while it’s raining outside.

This weekend we had a nice time out with one of my long time no see cousins and now I’m paying back the good time that we had. My head reflects exactly the stormy weather outside.

Well she wanted to go to the beach. Her idea of the beach is : Sun Sea and Lancaster! Not bad except that we had a kid with us. Well we just traded Lancaster with sandstorm (the actual weather) and sand everywhere ( the artificial weather created by a kid in contact with sand ) . But the nice thing about going to the beach on crappy days is you get the beach for yourself! So we could make poses and get photographed by one of Dubai’s youngest photographs (My son!) …After the 100th pic , our lower half started appearing on the camera and by the time we were heading out he started taking our heads. I’ll try to rescue a photo for you where we have all our elements in place.

She wanted to have a cheese cake at the Cheesecake factory..But we were so full when the cheese cake arrived that we could only finish half of one piece. A shame, I feel like going out now asking them for the part we threw. And to lure the little toddler with us she said she will buy him a toy instead of going to MacDonald’s. He was so happy that he promised to buy her nice shoes ( Ohhh my!!! He knows how to please a girl even at this age!) . The problem now is how am I going to do with the next happy meals?!

She wanted to go pump’it’up at a Japanese restaurant. We zapped the pump’it’up part and ended up at a quiet Japanese restaurant remembering our lost childhood memories.

So all to say that may be her idea of having fun in Dubai was a bit different from ours but we had lots of fun though!
