A bath like no other

Yesterday we had a very particular experience. My utmost upper exceeding sense of "let's go out, let's see what's happening, I'm bored at home" led us to Gitex. Supposedly and from what I have seen in the website, it is the biggest technology event here in Dubai... So I was like wow-this-is-it-baby-THE-EVENT-OF-THE-YEAR-lets-not-miss-it!

My hubby being very technology driven, there was no need for any arguing nor begging. So it all sounded like a blessed opportunity to go out, everybody being happy. Even Adam was. He asked what the fuss was all about. And when we explained, he asked us matter of factly to buy him a phone..yeah just a phone should do!

First we met the traffic ! the traffic I'm talking about is being on a 7 highway road of stuck...not the traffic of Route d'El Jadida at 7 pm, not even Casablanca's jam after the tramway constructions. But it at least had the decency of moving at 40KM/h. So we arrived at the Gitex just a bit before closing. But we still had an hour to go.

So the experience we had there was that of an Indian Bath for 60 bucks. Or as a friend would put it " hammam dial l hendawi ". There were definitely more people than products to be exposed. Plus the brouhaha of a Moroccan souk. It was not even as big as I expected. For once this country did not exceed my expectations.

So we just ended up with two balloons, two pens, and a BIG trumping headache from Adam's nagging about the phone.
